• Athlete commitment

This programme is open to kids ages 6 and 7 and teaches them the essentials of balanced skiing. In order to join this programme, kids must at a minimum be able to turn and stop on command and spend the day without the need of a parent.
Through a series of sessions full of drills and exercises, our mission is to create skiers, who can go down every run on the mountain in style. The goal is to make the children confident parallel skiers with a relaxed athletic stance. This will all be carried out in a fun filled learning environment. Yes, there may be tears but there will be a lot of laughter and enjoyment.
There will be a lot of skiers with a variety of different skiing levels, so our coaches will place them into groups that are appropriate for their abilities. The U8 program will give the kids a solid foundation of skills and prepare them for the U10 program.
During these early development years, the programme fosters a love of skiing while focusing on the development of basic balance, control and movement on snow. These objectives are achieved through all-mountain free skiing, tactic, drills, drill courses, game-like activities suitable for the age of the children.
This programme teaches athletes the essentials of balance, edging, pivoting, pressure control, timing and coordination. Solid technical skills and on-snow versatility are the main programming goals, while continuing to make the learning fun and promote a love of skiing. The U10 programme will provide athletes with the opportunity to learn how to train and prepare them for the U12 programme.
This programme is recommended for kids with advance skills or aspirations. Kids must be able to ski dynamically on blue runs, as well as be comfortable on black runs.
If your kid is not at the advanced stages of skill development or is not ready or excited about racing (yet) we may recommend our U10 programme as a more appropriate fit. We are increasing the demands of our U12 programme significantly so we want athletes both committed and prepared.
The U12 programme is intended for kids whose skills have improved rapidly and are able to focus on making their skis perform. Although we are making this age group more challenging we are continuing to make the learning fun, and promoting love for skiing, the development of dynamic balance, movement and rhythm continues. Kids in U12 will take advantage of race course environments, with competitive situations occurring more often. Alternative off piste environments (bumps, powder, steeps, and jumps) will be fully utilised when conditions allow.
The U14 programme is designed for athletes to continue their ski development path in race environments. The programme continues to build on the great technical foundation established during the earlier years.
The primary objective is achieving a high level of athleticism in their skiing, on or off piste, in or out of race courses. In order to be a great racer, you must be a great skier, so the kids need to be comfortable skiing on the entire mountain, regardless of conditions. The U14 programme teaches them to be great skiers by exploring the limits of their balance and range of movement.
Our experienced coaches are all excellent skiers and great role models; their passion for skiing is key for leading by example. The coaches teach the kids specific skills by setting up fun, challenging environments.
U14 is also the beginning real individual racing and national competitions. We address the needs of new U14 athletes with a good introduction to racing environments and tactics. The U14 and U16 programmes work closely so the stronger U14 racers have the opportunity to train up with the U16 athletes. Those advancing rapidly in this programme can work towards specific seasonal goals. Each team member is encouraged to reach maximum potential.
U16 is designed for racers who are developing their fitness, skiing, racing, and mental preparedness to a higher level. The programme continues to focus on improving / learning / reinforcing fundamentals learned at the U14 level, however we now teach them to apply those fundamentals in competitive environments.
The primary objective of the programme is teaching kids to develop strategies for performance on demand. This is accomplished by increasing the intensity of their training and incorporating mental management routines. By working towards specific task orientated goals, they learn how to perform to their potential by design, rather than by chance.
The U16s still spend lots of time practising athletic and aggressive skiing, on and off piste, in and out of drill and race courses. They have opportunity to ski the whole mountain in all conditions with confidence, speed and balance on numerous occasions. Each team member is encouraged to reach maximum potential athletically, socially, academically and personally.
Our experienced coaches are very knowledgeable and positive role models; their passion for skiing is key for leading by example. The coaches teach the kids race and life skills by setting up fun, challenging and competitive environments.
U18 is an extension of the U16 programme. This programme offers the athletes the opportunity to compete in their first FIS races if they desire and / or continue with the National Youth Series.

U21, Seniors and Masters
This programme slots athletes in with an age group appropriate to their skill level. The focus is on technical improvement, race tactics and tactics.
Please Note: The programme direction is based on skiers in each category attending each camp. With different age groups and programme options available we may mot always be able to train as independent age groups. Groups will often be mixed on ability if minimum numbers are not met in each age group category. On weekends or camps when numbers allow we will work in age groups.
